Whitewall Gallery Chelmsford

Whitewall Galleries is launching a stunning new art venue in Bond Street, Chelmsford.

Whitewall offers beautiful and innovative original paintings, collectable editions and sculptures from internationally acclaimed artists alongside the most exciting emerging talents through a nationwide network of galleries.

Situated between the High Street and the only John Lewis department store in Essex, Bond Street is home to an exciting new retail, culture and leisure development offering diversity, character and a quality shopping experience. Early next year with the opening of Whitewall Galleries, it will also become a destination for art lovers from across the south east.

This latest addition to the Whitewall family is located across a 200 square metre space next door to TAG Heuer. Light and spacious, with a seating area and viewing room, it will be the perfect place to stop off and enjoy two floors of award winning contemporary art over a cup of coffee.

Whitewall Managing Director Jonathan Kearns says: “Whitewall Galleries was created to make the amazing world of contemporary art accessible to everyone. Our intention has always been to introduce our gallery concept in some of the UK’s most vibrant urban locations, but to contain the growth of the group to ensure that our artwork, atmosphere and service remain personal, customer focused and of the highest quality. Bond Street, Chelmsford is the perfect location for us, as it is a development project which shares our values and vision.”

Neil Ridley of Bond Street owner Aquila commented that “Whitewall Galleries is a welcome addition to the Bond Street line-up and gives another point of interest in the scheme for shoppers."

The Whitewall portfolio includes an impressive array of big name artists including Jack Vettriano and Mackenzie Thorpe. The gallery team is already putting together a schedule of exhibitions, previews and artist appearances for 2017. Sales Director Rebecca Ball says: “We are really looking forward to getting to know the area’s art lovers, and hope that people will drop in, introduce themselves and register for invitations to our forthcoming events.”

Whitewall Galleries opens 21 January 2017.
